This bill prohibits landlords from considering a person’s amount of income or credit score when deciding if it they should rent a space to a prospective tenant. CPAC opposes government infringement in the private negotiations between landlords and tenants and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on April 29, 2023 by a vote of 43-22 and the bill later became law.
