This bill prohibits courts from issuing subpoenas related to cases occurring in other states that concern “legally protected health care activities” (I.e. abortions and radical gender surgeries). The bill also prohibits medical malpractice insurers from refusing to insure physicians because of their participation in these activities. CPAC believes abortion is always a human tragedy, opposes its protection, and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on April 1, 2023 by a vote of 42-18 and the bill later became law.
