This bill authorizes the creation of a Division of Civil Rights and Protections within Colorado’s Department of Law. CPAC believes that this bureaucracy will be used to target conservatives that do not completely adhere to Leftist dogmas, opposes the frivolous lawsuits that this division will create, and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on April 26, 2023 by a vote of 49-16 and the bill later became law.
