This bill requires most individuals to complete a 3-day waiting period after a background check has been initiated into them before they can pick up a firearm that they have purchased. CPAC supports the founders’ belief in the Second Amendment and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on March 28, 2023 by a vote of 21-14 and the bill later became law.
