Vote Description

This bill increases the number of municipalities that can take certain properties into receiverships by decreasing the population that a municipality must have in order to be granted this power. It also allows municipalities to take commercial properties into receivership. CPAC opposes infringements on property rights and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on May 16, 2023 by a vote of 108-43 and the bill later became law.
