This bill requires the state to have zero carbon emissions by the year 2050 with interim goals of reduced emissions by 2030 and 2040. CPAC opposes these mandates that raise the cost of energy for everyone, supports the freedom to choose the form of energy you use and opposed this bill. The House passed the bill on May 1, 2025 by a vote of 98-47 and the bill later became law.
