This bill prohibits certain entities from discriminating against people based on their age and strengthens protections against discrimination based on sexual orientation in Connecticut’s antidiscrimination laws. CPAC opposes the expansion of these so-called “antidiscrimination” laws, the likes of which are often abused by greedy plaintiff lawyers, and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on June 7, 2023 by a vote of 32-4 and the bill later became law.
