This bill requires that the state buy a certain amount of electric buses by 2030. CPAC recognizes that electric buses are extremely costly compared to gas-powered buses, opposes measures that raise costs on taxpayers in the name of the climate agenda, and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on June 21, 2023 by a vote of 25-15 and the bill later became law.
