This bill increases the maximum amount of unemployment benefits that may be dished out to people on a weekly basis from $400 to $450. CPAC opposes measures that diminish the unemployment insurance system’s role as a temporary bridge between jobs and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on January 18, 2023 by a vote of 39-0 and the bill later became law.
