SB 184
Increasing Insurance Costs with Crime-Related Mandates.
2023 - Delaware House of Representatives
Vote Description

This bill prohibits insurers from refusing to cover a person because of any convictions or arrests on their record that don’t obviously relate to fraud or the type of risk the person is being insured against. CPAC believes that this mandate exposes insurers to extreme amounts of unnecessary risk, opposes insurance mandates, and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on June 19, 2023 by a vote of 25-0 and the bill later became law.
