This bill makes it a misdemeanor for a person to knowingly keep a firearm alone in their car outside of a locked container. CPAC supports the founders' belief in the Second Amendment and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on June 30, 2023 by a vote of 15-6 and the bill later became law.
