Vote Description

This bill increases the cap on the amount of funds that may be awarded to a person who files a complaint against an employer for workplace discrimination. CPAC recognizes that this measure will be abused in order to damage conservative employers with frivolous lawsuits and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on June 13, 2023 by a vote of 20-1 and the bill later became law.
