This bill renames the Walt Disney Company’s Reedy Creek District to the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District and makes it such that five of the board members overseeing the district will now be selected by the governor instead of by Disney. CPAC supports efforts to restore ordinary market conditions to this area of the state and supported this bill. The House passed this bill on February 9, 2023 by a vote of 82-31 and the bill later became law.
