Vote Description

This bill bars cities and counties from setting up local minimum wages or giving preference to certain contractors based on their wages. It also loosens some hours restrictions for minors while remaining consistent with Federal law. CPAC opposes minimum wages and supports opportunities for youth to work and learn valuable skills, and supported this bill. The House passed the bill on April 25 2025 by a vote of 78 to 30 but the bill was never brought up for a vote in the Senate.
