S 1718
Reinforcing Federal Immigration Laws in Florida.
2023 - Florida Senate
Vote Description

This bill establishes a number of provisions that disincentivize illegal immigration in the state of Florida. For example, the bill prohibits counties from issuing funds to entities such that they may issue documents of identification to illegal immigrants. It also requires that the state refuse to recognize driver’s licenses obtained by illegal immigrants in other states. CPAC supports efforts to disincentivize illegal immigration, supports the enforcement of federal immigration law, and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on April 28, 2023 by a vote of 27-10 and the bill later became law.
