This bill ends the process whereby the government collected dues on behalf of unions. It also contains provisions requiring public employees to sign a membership authorization form before joining a union. CPAC supports efforts to better inform workers about the nature of being part of a union, supports diminishing the corrupt bargain between unions and the state, and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on March 29, 2023 by a vote of 23-17 and the bill later became law.
