This bill establishes numerous provisions designed to protect election security. For example, the bill makes it illegal for noncitizens to collect or handle voter registration applications. It also requires the Secretary of State to provide mandatory formal signature-matching training to certain people. CPAC supports efforts to protect election integrity and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on April 26, 2023 by a vote of 28-12 and the bill later became law.
