This bill requires social media companies verify a person’s age before giving them a social media account. It then requires them to deny a minor access to a social media account without parental consent. CPAC supports efforts to protect minors from the harmful influences of social media content and supported this bill. The House passed this bill on March 28, 2024 by a vote of 120-45 and the bill was signed into law.
