Vote Description
SB 185 bars the use of state funds to pay for sex reassignment or hormonal treatments for prison inmates. CPAC believes that using taxpayer money on “gender-affirming care” for prison inmates is frivolous, and it supports this bill. SB 185 passed the Georgia House of Representatives in a 100-2 vote on April 4, 2025, and it was signed into law by Governor Brian Kemp on May 8, 2025.
