SB 79
Fentanyl Eradication and Removal Act
2025 - Georgia House of Representatives
Vote Description

SB 79 targets fentanyl manufacturing and distribution by establishing mandatory minimum sentences for fentanyl traffickers. CPAC believes that the scourge of fentanyl must be rooted out of America’s cities and towns, so it supports this bill. SB 79 passed the Georgia House of Representatives in a 131-31 vote on March 28, 2025, and it was later signed into law by Governor Brian Kemp.
