Vote Description
This bill extends the sunset date on provisions that gave tax exemptions on sales of tangible personal property to “competitive [projects] of regional significance” from 2023 to 2026. CPAC opposes government favoritism toward particular economic development projects and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on March 29, 2023 by a vote of 43-6 and the bill later became law (quite literally in the Hyundai Metaplant in Bryan County).
