This bill reaffirms the government’s commitment to the protection of religious freedoms and prohibits the government from substantially burdening the free exercise of religion in Georgia. CPAC supports the preservation of First Amendment freedoms and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on February 29, 2024 by a vote of 33-19 but the bill never became law.
