HB 159 doubles the bond limit for the Georgia Housing and Finance Authority’s single-family residential program. The bill raises the bond limit from $3 billion to $6 billion. CPAC advocates fiscal responsibility in government and in avoiding unnecessary debt, and it opposes this bill. HB 159 passed the Georgia Senate in a 49-6 vote on March 21, 2025, and it was later signed into law by Governor Brian Kemp.
