SB 29 instructs Georgian detention facilities to take DNA samples of felons and add the DNA findings to a state database. CPAC supports efforts to keep criminals accountable, and it supports this bill. SB 29 passed the Georgia Senate in a 44-11 vote on March 3, 2025. The Georgia House of Representatives failed to take up this bill.
