SB 47 would provide a yearly window where purchases of firearms, firearm equipment, and ammunition would be exempt from state sales tax. CPAC believes that Americans’ 2nd Amendment rights should be unimpeded, and it supports this bill. SB 47 passed the Georgia Senate in a 31-21 vote on February 12, 2025. The bill was not taken up by the House of Representatives.
