This bill allows individuals to, upon identifying as transgender, change gender-specific words on their marriage records such that they reflect the gender they perceive themselves to be. CPAC opposes measures that affirm transgender ideology and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on April 27, 2023 by a vote of 45-5 and the bill later became law.
