SB 19
Literally Allowing Dead People to Vote.
2023 - Hawaii House of Representatives
Vote Description

This bill allows ballots that have been cast by people who died between the time of casting their ballot and the period in which ballots are tabulated to still be counted. CPAC believes that the votes of dead people should not be tabulated and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on May 2, 2023 by a vote of 44-7 and the bill later became law. Note: This bill was given one of Hawaii’s signature “defective dates.”
