This bill prohibits judges from issuing subpoenas that require people to testify concerning the abortions that someone has received. The bill also removes the term “female” from laws governing abortion and replaces the term with “pregnant people.” CPAC believes abortion is always a human tragedy, opposes its expansion, opposes the erasure of women, and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on March 7, 2023 by a vote of 22-3 and the bill later became law.
