SF 575
Smorgasbord of Crony Policies Benefitting a Variety of Government–Favored Industries.
2023 - Iowa House of Representatives
Vote Description

This bill extends the sunset date on the renewable chemical production tax credit from 2033 to 2041. The bill also expands the duties of Iowa’s wine and beer promotion board such that it must also assist the spirits industry. CPAC does not believe that the government should force taxpayers to help pay for the needs of the renewable chemical production or alcohol industries and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on May 1, 2023 by a vote of 94-0 and the bill later became law.
