This bill makes an estimated $7,500 available to families living at lower than 300% of the federal poverty line such that they may send their children to the school best suited to their children’s needs. It also eventually extends the program to all Iowan families. CPAC supports school choice and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on January 23, 2023 by a vote of 31-18 and the bill later became law.
