This bill establishes a “dairy innovation fund” designed to provide financial assistance to businesses that are refurbishing milk plants, expanding mobile dairy processing units, or renting out spaces to increase dairy processing capacity. CPAC opposes the government subsidization of the milk industry and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on May 2, 2023 by a vote of 47-1 and the bill later became law.
