This bill creates a process whereby Iowa may divest its state holdings from companies owned or operated by the Chinese government. CPAC supports appropriate efforts to further the US’ security interests and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on March 22, 2023 by a vote of 49-1 and the bill later became law.
