This bill prohibits localities from creating restrictions that prevent the connection of certain utilities to a person’s house. In doing so, this bill prevents localities from fully instituting gas stove bans. CPAC supports efforts to oppose municipal overreach and supported this bill. The House passed this bill on February 17, 2023 by a vote of 58-12 and the bill later became law.
