H 213
Forcing Taxpayers to Fund Other People’s Education in Idaho.
2023 - Idaho House of Representatives
Vote Description

This bill establishes a rural nursing loan repayment program. Under this program, nurses may receive up to $25,000 from the government to pay off their student loans if they practice in a rural area in Idaho. CPAC does not believe that taxpayers should be forced to pay the costs of other people’s education and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on March 3, 2023 by a vote of 39-30 and the bill later became law.
