Vote Description
This bill prohibits the government from awarding contracts to companies because of their ESG rating. CPAC opposes the usage of ESG as a metric for judging companies, supports efforts to ensure that the public procurement process obtains services that will occasion the lowest possible cost to the taxpayer, and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on March 20, 2023 by a vote of 28-7 and the bill later became law.
