This bill requires the Department of Health and Welfare to seek approval from the legislature before a state Medicaid plan amendment may go into effect. CPAC supports efforts to increase legislative oversight of Medicaid and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on March 26, 2024 by a vote of 27-6 and the bill later became law.
