This bill states that counselors and therapists may not be required to counsel a person in a manner that directly contravenes their religious beliefs. CPAC supports conscience protections for medical professionals and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on February 28, 2024 by a vote of 23-11 and the bill later became law.
