Vote Description

This bill authorizes assistance for individuals litigating against the federal government through the Constitutional Defense Council. It provides a mechanism for the state to help citizens challenge unconstitutional federal actions. CPAC supports pushing back on federal overreach and empowering citizens in constitutional litigation and supported this bill. The Idaho Senate passed HB 148 on April 1, 2025, in a 29-5 vote, and Governor Brad Little signed the measure into law.
