This bill changes license requirements such that illegal immigrants, the likes of whom could already be given a temporary vehicle drivers’ license, may now receive licenses that are nearly identical to normal licenses. CPAC opposes measures that incentivize illegal immigration and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on May 24, 2023 by a vote of 33-18 and the bill later became law.
