This bill makes it a civil rights violation for one to deny a person access to real estate or refuse to engage in real estate transactions with a person because of their immigration status. It also prohibits certain entities from discriminating against illegal immigrants when providing loan services to people. CPAC believes that property rights and contract law should not be sacrificed at the altar of illegal immigration and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on March 30, 2023 by a vote of 46-9 and the bill later became law.
