This bill prohibits school libraries from containing books that possess obscene material or materials harmful to children. It also sets up a complaints process whereby parents may express their belief that a book is not appropriate for kids. CPAC opposes the distribution of pornography to children in schools, supports increased parental involvement in schools, and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on April 27, 2023 by a vote of 69-28 and the bill later became law.
