This bill prohibits state agencies from requiring nonprofit organizations or individuals to provide the government with personal information in certain circumstances. It also prohibits political subdivisions from requiring grant recipients to provide the government with a list of non-profit groups to whom the grant recipient has made donations. CPAC supports protecting non-profits from backdoor disclosure mandates and supported this bill. The Senate passed the bill on April 25, 2023 by a vote of 48-1 and the bill later became law.
