This bill recognizes that parents have the right to direct the moral upbringing and education of their children. It also recognizes that parents have the right to object to any educational materials that they find inappropriate for school learning. The House sustained Governor Kelly’s veto of this bill on April 27, 2023 by a vote of 78-45.
