This bill requires that babies born alive following an attempted abortion procedure be given the same amount of care and protection from physicians as would be given to other babies of the same gestational age. CPAC believes that infanticide is evil and supported this bill. The House overrode Governor Kelly’s veto of this bill on April 26, 2023 by a vote of 87-37 and the bill later became law.
