This bill attempts to create education accounts that may be used by qualifying parents to help their children attend the educational institution most suited to their needs. While CPAC does not necessarily support all of the language used in this bill and would prefer to see school choice extended to a broader swathe of children, it still supports school choice and supported this bill. The House passed this bill on April 6, 2023 by a vote of 65-58 but the bill was defeated in the Senate.
