This bill requires medical facilities to report the reason for each abortion performed at the facility to the secretary of health and environment. CPAC believes abortion is always a human tragedy, supports efforts to regulate its practice, and supported this bill. The Senate overrode the Governor’s veto of this bill on April 29, 2024 by a vote of 27-10 and the bill later became law.
