This bill prohibits the state from using funds to promote gender transitioning and authorizes a civil cause of action against healthcare providers that provide certain gender-related treatments to minors. CPAC opposes the mutilation and castration of children and supported this bill. The Senate overrode Governor Kelly’s veto of this bill on April 29, 2024 by a vote of 27-13 but the House sustained the governor’s veto.
