This bill prohibits the Department of Workplace Standards from promulgating regulations on child labor that are more restricted than those promulgated by the US Secretary of Labor. CPAC supports efforts to allow youths to enter the workplace and supported this bill. The House passed this bill on February 22, 2024 by a vote of 60-36 but the bill never became law.
