Reduction of severance tax on newly completed oil wells

Vote Description
This bill reduces the rate of severance tax on oil produced from new wells in addition to special rates on oil from specific wells. Severance taxes are state taxes set on non-renewable natural resources. CPAC supports pro-growth and energy independence and supported this bill. The house passed the bill on June 9 by a vote of 103-0, and it later became law.
