This bill provides for gradual reductions in Louisiana’s franchise tax until it eventually disappears completely. CPAC supports appropriate and broad tax relief whenever possible and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on May 16, 2023 by a vote of 37-1 but the bill was vetoed by Governor Edwards.
